PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFETY TO CONSUMERS


  • Do not use/consume medicines without consulting a doctor. Avoid self medication.
  • Always purchase medicines from a licensed chemist and obtain cash memo.
  • Ensure that the chemist supplies the medicine which has been prescribed by the registered medical practitioner.
  • Consult Doctor if the medicine prescribed by him is not available. Check the expiry date of the medicine which is printed on the label.
  • Do not use expired medicines.
  • Ensure that the batch number of the medicines supplied tallies with the batch number mentioned in the cash memo.
  • Do not pay more than the maximum retail price plus local taxes (if any)
  • Keep the medicines out of the reach of children.
  • Do not use/buy any medicine which is without label.
  • Use the eye drops within one month of opening the container.
  • In the case of any complaint contact the Chief Medical and Health Officer of the District who is also the ex-officio Dy. Director, Food and Drugs Administration or contact the Drugs Inspector of the District who is available in the Office of the Dy. Director, Food and Drugs Administration of the District.
  • You may also contact Dy. Drugs Controller at the Office of the Controller, Food and Drugs Administration Madhya Pradesh, Idgah Hills, Bhopal (M.P.) for any complaint about medicines.
  • Follow all the conditions mentioned in the label of the medicines/containers.
  • Do not use any parenteral preparation if any particulate matter is visible in it.
